Back in day in Finland dual band (GSM900/1800) phones had their own dual band celllular subscriptions, for example Radiolinja Tandem (http://web.archive.org/web/20000819021035/http://www.radiolinja.fi/palvelut/pa_lii_tandem.shtml) when for the single band (GSM900) phones had their seperate ones like Radiolinja Käyttöliittymä (http://web.archive.org/web/20000819021110/http://www.radiolinja.fi/palvelut/pa_lii_kaytto.shtml). Please notice these links are in Finnish Dual band subscription was cheaper since it used 1800MHZ city networks along with 900mhz regular cellular network from following link (in Finnish) you can compare prices of dual band Tandem and single band Käyttöliittymä prices (http://web.archive.org/web/20000819021537/http://www.radiolinja.fi/palvelut/hinnasto.shtml) Nokia 6130 on the other hand was Nokia 6110 with 6150 cover and was
meant for 1800mhz network. If you are interested reading more about 1800mhz
citynetwork in Finland I wrote
about it in article about Nokia 51xx series phones.
I also got original hands free device for used while driving car.
Nokia 61xx series phones are my absolutely favorite which I keep returning after playing with other phone models. Phone represented new era by its small size, light weight, features and long battery life. When compared for example Nokia 3110/8110 released in previous year that battery life even with extended battery was under week, Nokia 61xx series it was even over week with standard battery. Battery life been many times over a week, of course depending how much do I call with it. Calling drains battery but many times I gotten multiple hour calls for example when doing installation without running out battery. New standard third party batteries for these models I found in Finland atleast from Partco and had good experience with those batteries. In my opinion personal profiles are best feature in this phone becuase it permits filtering only calls you want for example when you are working or sleeping. Of course all calls will come trough anywau but only selected caller groups calls alert. You can download single custom monophonic ringtone into the phone which you find from for example Panuworld Nuukiaworld (external link). 6110 also got nice "chameleon" paint that changes color based on angle. This was hard to photograph and I only managed get green paint to color. Phone calendar feature is nice if you need do notes quickly on the road, before you may transfer them at physical calendar at home. Extra reminder on device is also nice. Out of built in games Snake is superior and you can play it against other player trough InfraRed link. Only problem is I am propably last person in this planet carrying this type of old brick daily. Only downside I can find about the device is uncomfortable hands free device. Eadbud on it presses and hurt ear. I never like in ear headset rather prefer around or over ear design whenever possible. If you ask me which model do I recommend it depends. If you want the original one and chameleon paint then it is 6110. If 6150 design is more pleasing then that. Neither of the devices got notable advantage over each others in daily use. So either one fits and they both are great retro/daily driver phones.
